Lunch for factory worker is always a big issue as there is limited choice around bayan baru. For most of the time, Queensbay Mall wills always the first choice destination to select. Well, today, I have explored to One World, located in Bayan Baru which developed by Ideal Group. In front of One World Condominium, there are 3 column of shop lot and here is where Chubi Kitchen located.? Here is the front view of Chubi Kitchen (????). You can see that the One World is actually located at the back of the restaurant.
Chubi Kitchen?s Environment
Chubi Kitchen is located in Tingkat Mahsuri road. From Jalan Mahsuri, just take a right hand turn, you will arrive to the restaurant. There are plenty of car parks in front of the restaurant as most of the surrounding shop lot has not started business yet. You can park the car at the front of the restaurant.
Chubi Kitchen has opened for less than 2 month old and you can see that the decoration is still new. The restaurant is fully air conditioned, you do not afraid of sweating during lunch.
The restaurant can accommodate ~ 40 customers at one time. I would consider this is kind of small restaurant. Since it is small, Chubi Kitchen do kept the surrounding clean and tidy and this is good first impression to customer.
How does the food taste?
Chubi Kitchen provides variety of lunch set for selection. Each lunch set come with a drink, a soup and the main course. Each of them only cost RM7.50 all inclusive. No service tax and government tax. Here is the menu.
I have ordered the ginger and spring onions diced chicken with rice (?????) and my friend has ordered the Gong Poh diced chicken with rice (?????). Here is how the actual dishes look like.
The taste for both of the dishes is normal and nothing special to talk about. The portion of rice is small and the diced chicken is limited. It may be suitable for a lady but may not be sufficient for a guy. It also come with a soup, it is tasteless. You can ignore the soup. I think the Chubi Kitchen will face a great challenge in retaining the customer as you can get the fast food at RM6 only/set.
Will I come again?
No for lunch but will give it a try on dinner.

- Clean dining environment
- Fully air conditioned
- No government tax and service tax
- Small restaurant that can only accommodate ~40 customer at one time
- Acceptable taste but the portion is too small
- Each lunch set only cost RM7.50 and it come with drink and soup
- You can ignore the soup, maybe they should replace it with fruit
- lot of free parking (at the time I write this review)
