Primary duties and responsibilities:
? Assist with the development of brochures, advertisements, and children?s workbooks
? Contribute to the development of a web site
? Assist with the development of grant proposals
? Contribute to the organization?s marketing plan
? Input and analyze collected data on local shelter input and output of animals
? Develop your own 15 minute presentation on an animal welfare topic, geared towards middle school students
? Assist with school presentations and community programs
Skills Preferred:
? Familiarity with web site design.
? Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and or SPSS.
? A positive attitude and interest in working with children and animals.
? Creative in terms of online marketing and advertising.
Learning Objectives:
Interns will gain communication skills when concerning public speaking and written proposals as well as the insight into the workings of all areas of a non-profit organization.
Job Title: Non Profit Development Internship Fall 2012
Academic preparation of the student required: Junior or Senior Preferred.
